I’ve always had this draw towards AutoCAD (pun intended) & Autodesk products. I first began learning AutoCAD with R12/13 in 1995. At that time, I also started messing around with MAX – the DOS version. After that, I knew I was hooked. When I completed school, I went to work for an engineered lumber products company that makes I-joists & trusses for buildings. During my 7 year tenure, I wore many hats – drafting, design, CAD management, training, presentations, etc. This position allowed me to gain experience working on a large variety of commercial & residential projects first using AutoCAD and then Architectural Desktop Releases 2004 through 2005. In December 2004 I passed the Autodesk Architectural Desktop Certified Expert exam at Autodesk University and have renewed my Expert certification with each new release. Since 2005 I have been with U.S. CAD as an Application Engineer primarily focused on AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop and VIZ. I also have experience with Autodesk Building Systems & 3D MAX. In my spare time, I am also a moderator and manager for the Architectural Desktop forums for the Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) at www.augi.com.
