Course Descriptions:

Intro to Dynamo for Revit:

Dynamo is a visual programming tool that allows users to automate Revit repetitive tasks and create complex workflows. The session covers the basics of Dynamo for everyday Revit users by walking through scripts that automate project setup. These introduction scripts are intended to teach attendees how to use the Dynamo application, foundation and structure of Dynamo scripts, process of building scripts, and common Dynamo nodes and packages.

Automate Revit Documentation with Be.Smart:

This session will show how to simplify and automate the creation of accurate documentation from Revit models. Smart Documentation is a Revit add-on that is a powerful and flexible tool that can help generate documents and drawings. It can create automatically tagged and dimensioned project views and assembly views in bulk and place everything on sheets. It can also sort and number Revit elements any way you need, eliminating the need for manual data entry and reducing mistakes. Smart Documentation is designed to overcome limitations in native Revit functionality so that designers can complete deliverables in the shortest time possible.

Improve Your Productivity with Bluebeam Revu:

In this course we’ll discuss the options for improving your productivity when leveraging Bluebeam Revu. You’ll learn valuable short cuts and tips that can assist in creating or editing markups. We’ll also dig into the interface and how you can customize it better suit your workflow needs. As part of the interface conversation, we dig deep into the Tool Chest. You’ll learn how to create your own tool sets, add your specific tools to them and then how to share those tools with the rest of the staff for repeatable and consistent use throughout the company.

Why We Draw:

Revit, and BIM in general, is one of the most powerful tools that architects have in their toolbox. As our profession progressively gets more complicated, and time becomes a dwindling resource, efficiency becomes paramount. This course will focus on when, how, and why architects should use Revit as part of their design process. Previous projects will be used to showcase examples of when Revit can be most beneficial to the process or a possible hinderance to the design process.

Best Practices for Practical BIM:

In this course, we will explore practical BIM applications, specifically in modeling and documenting vertical construction. The course will cover topics such as best practices for setting up a model, adjusting the visibility of families, cleaning up the appearance of elements on the drawings, understanding line weights, importing cad and more.

AutoCAD and Civil 3D Woes – Quick Fixes and Troubleshooting:

This session unveils time-saving shortcuts and practical insights to troubleshoot common headaches. This dynamic session is designed for simplicity, providing practical insights that simplify your AutoCAD and Civil 3D workflows. Command line aliases, toolbars and ribbon customization. Bring your questions on how to make AutoCAD do the things you wish it could do.

Why NOT Using Sheet Sets are Costing You Time and Money:

Learn how to utilize this powerful tool so that you can see an ROI immediately. This course is geared for AutoCAD users and CAD Managers who want to learn how to efficiently use the Sheet Set Manager for organizing, plotting and essential Sheet referencing. Preferred AutoCAD knowledge/skills include but are not limited to creating attribute blocks, block editing, fields, tables and Microsoft Excel.

Building Champions, Not Paperwork: Craft AEC Training Programs that Stick:

Empower Your Team, Empower Yourself: Master the AEC training game, whether you’re a leader or a learner. Building a training program can be a daunting task. It often takes several people across different departments and so much time, it’s hard to know where to start. During this session, we will explore an easy-to-digest plan to implement training for your employees. If you aren’t a manager or leader in your organization, we will also be covering ways to advocate for your own career development.

Unleash the Power of Revit 2024’s New Features:

Out of the many new features in Revit 2024, explore a few such as project browser enhancements, interface modernization, schedule upgrades, simplified topography, and so much more. Dive into live demos and unlock hidden efficiency secrets that will make your projects sing. You will see the newest sample model and project templates which make starting projects and developing your own templates easier.

Standardize your Practice | From Chaos to Clarity:

Are you tired of project chaos and unpredictable outcomes? Embrace the benefits of BIM standardization.

This presentation provides a roadmap to implementing BIM standardization without getting bogged down in the details. We will explore the must-have elements of a BIM execution plan, documenting standard practices and workflows, and effective strategies to minimize risk and rework. We will also discuss the best tools and technologies for BIM standardization, as well as the pros and cons of embedding BIM standardization into your contracts. By embracing the power of BIM standardization, you can unleash its potential to watch your firm thrive!

Transform Your AEC Workflow: Centralize Your Data and Communication:

Tired of clunky file-sharing, communication chaos, and rework nightmares in your BIM projects? Join us to explore how Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro can transform your AEC workflow with real-time co-authoring, centralized data, and seamless collaboration. In this presentation, we’ll explore how BIM Collaborate Pro can connect your project teams and Centralize data and communication through document control, design collaboration, and model coordination.
